Paige's Arrival

I already wrote about Paige's birth story but her arrival was such a huge moment in my life I want to remember it all. Each of my children's births have been life changing for me. Carter's birth is when I became a mom for the first time. Bridger's birth is what changed my perspective on life, made me cry harder than I ever had, and was also one of the most sacred experiences of my life. Paige's birth was full of complete joy. Our rainbow after an incredibly dark and gloomy storm had arrived. I will never forget the feeling I felt when she let out her first good cry. I remember right after Carter was born all I wanted to do was comfort his cries. After Paige was born I was SO grateful she was crying. It meant she was alive. I am still grateful for her cries.

 My amazing doctor.... Dr. Healy.
Previous to Bridger's birth he had not delivered a stillborn for 19 years.
I believe he is one of the top OBGYNs around.

So grateful my baby girl is here! Notice the tear in my eye.
It was hard to keep them from flowing. The feeling in that room was surreal.
Proud grandparents! Grandma and Grandpa Mellies
Carter's first time meeting Paige. Poor guy was pretty tired by that point.
He was happy to see her but lost interest quickly
I love it when she curls up her little lip.. and look at all her hair! So different from Carter and Bridger.
 First family photo!
Jean filmed both Carter and Paige's births for me. She does an awesome job.
It is so great to have friends that become family.
Visitors! Thanks to Colby, Cindy, Drew, and Rachel for entertaining Carter while we were at the hospital. Paige's other visitors included:
Grandpa Court and Grandma Diane, Aunts Jessica & Julie, Cousins Derrick & Kathy
Mark, filming all of the crucial first moments.
Getting wheeled to my recovery room. This is one of the same nurses who helped us when we had Bridger. When she realized who we were she cried a little and was so happy for us. She is a gorgeous, sweet girl.

Having Paige here with us really has been a huge blessing in helping to deal with our grief with Bridger. She, in no way replaced him, but she has brought new joy into our home. She keeps us busy but reminds us of how precious life is and how grateful we are for everything we have. Thank you sweet little Paige for coming into our lives!
