The Beluga whales were my favorite. This one was going to the bottom of the tank and acting like he was scratching his back. It was really neat to watch.

One "funny" experience we had while in San Diego was our hotel situation. We were suppose to stay at this place called the Kings Inn. Well, when we got there (at about 11:30pm) they told us somebody had overbooked their rooms so they were going to send us to another hotel a couple of miles down the road. So, we drove down to the Padres Inn or something like that and Mark goes in to the lobby to get our room. About 20 minutes later he still was not out. So I went in and there was about 3 or 4 people ahead of Mark in line. The lady behind the counter was this little old oriental gal that was taking her sweet time. She kept having issues with the computer and double booked a room, she answered every phone call that came in, and had absolutely no sense of urgency. Then when it was our turn (an hour later) she said she only had 1 King bed. This would not work because my mom was with us. So, she called and asked our first hotel (The Kings Inn) if they would be willing to pay for the suite. They said yes. She told Mark that we were really lucky that we got to stay in the suite. Well, you should have seen the suite! (I wish I would have taken pictures!) I felt like we were staying in the Bates Motel from Pyscho, my mom said she felt like we were staying in the Munsters house, and Mark said he felt like he was staying in a grandma's basement. It was very outdated and weird. There were eternity mirrors in front of the toilet, no outlets in the bathroom and just very old! It sucked at the time (about 1:00am) but looking back it was kind of a funny experience.
