32 Weeks

So, I am 32 weeks along today... The last 3 weeks or so have flown by. Having your entire family sick will do that for ya. First Carter was diagnosed with pneumonia and a double ear infection (the day after his birthday - poor kid) then I was diagnosed with the flu and a bladder infection.. Mark probably had the flu or at least had something very similar to what I had... then after Carter seemed to be better he started coughing and having a runny nose and fever again. What gives?! Thank goodness for my parents who helped us by taking Carter for a couple of nights and doing grocery store and dinner runs for us! We are all pretty much better for the most part now... Thank goodness! I just hope that my turn is over and I don't end up sick when the baby is due. (I had a cold when I delivered Carter..)

ANYWAY, 32 WEEKS!  I feel like I should be further along by now but at least I am in the 30 week range now! I am at the point that I want the baby to come but still feel like I have a lot left to do. I guess I am mainly referring to the nursery. I haven't been able to paint the nursery yet due to some water damage on the ceiling and wall. As soon as our builders get it patched up I can paint. Once I paint I can set up the crib and decorate. It sucks to not have any control over having to wait to the last minute.

On the other hand I want our baby girl here so badly. I want to see her, hold her, and know that she is safe (and be done being pregnant) :o)  She has been very active and I feel her move a lot - which I am so grateful for and count it as a blessing every single time I feel her move. She has also been getting the hiccups a lot too. I still get nervous even though she moves a lot because Bridger was a very active baby and had the hiccups a lot. I read some research after Bridger was born that if a baby is hiccuping a lot it could be a possible sign of issues with the cord. I haven't asked my personal OB about it (so don't quote me on it!) but it is always in the back of my mind. I have already had a couple of non-stress tests, which they normally don't start until more like 34 weeks but my doctor has let me know I can get a non-stress test done whenever I want.

So, there is the update on the pregnancy. We haven't discussed if I will be induced early or not. I doubt my doctor will want to induce any earlier than a week before my due date because he thinks the cord incident with Bridger was a fluke and will not happen again.

This picture is from when I was about 30 weeks. Gotta love those awkward belly photos!

You look so cute!
All my babies had the hiccups, both boys so bad! Constantly to the point where it bugged me! But they were fine and so were their cords. So just breath! I am so glad you've come so far, your so close! I hope these last few weeks go by fast and that you can have peace and comfort.

I didn't realize you were getting so close! It has gone by quick (for me at least)! My babies all had lots of hiccups, and their cords were all okay ;)
