6 Months!

I can't hardly believe it... It seems like only yesterday that I peed on the stick the changed my life... :) The night I found out I was pregnant was June 20, 2007. I had just finished playing a softball game and I kept thinking, "There is a slight chance I could maybe be pregnant, but I doubt it." I decided to take a prenancy test just so that I would know that I wasn't. BUT.. the pregnancy test had other plans. I was so excited that I cried! I couldn't believe that I was going to have a baby soon. I wanted to tell Mark in a fun way but I couldn't hold out. When he got home from work/school I could not stop smiling. He was telling me about some crappy things from his day and I said, "Let's talk about something else." He saw that I was smiling and very slowly said, "What?.." I pulled out the pregnancy test and showed him. He just stared at it for a looooooong time. Then he had to go for a walk! Not quite the reaction I was expecting.. Once Mark got over his shock we started to get excited for our baby to come. The months that followed were filled with countless hours (on my part) of learning all I could about pregnancy, labor, and newborns, not one, but two trips to the American Fork Target store to pick up our crib, painting, shopping, sleeping, doctors appointments, showers, CleaNinG, planning, and preparing for our little guy to come.

Now our little Carter is 6 months old! The last 6 months have been the best months of my life. Carter is such a sweet, happy little boy and he has brought Mark and I so much joy. We are so blessed to have him in our life. I can't believe Heavenly Father has entrusted us with such a perfect little spirit. I hope that I can do my best to not let him down. I took Carter to his 6 month appointment yesterday and here are his stats: His weight is 18lbs. 15 oz. (90%) His height is 28.5 in (97%) and his head is 43.50 cm (50%). He is right on track with his development. He has been teething for about a month now, and his two bottom teeth in the front have come through. He sits up on his own but doesn't completely have his balance. He babbles a lot and Mark swears he said Da Da, but I think it was just the babbling and not actual words.
